I've been going to Avizu for skin care for several years. Avizu is a chain store with many branches. There are several branches in Seoul alone, and I've been to the Myeongdong and Yeouido branches.

Its affordable prices are an advantage compared to other dermatology clinics.

Avizu frequently runs events, but the availability of these events differs by branch, so it's best to choose your desired branch first and then check for events. Yeouido often doesn't have events, so I mainly go to the Myeongdong branch.

The Myeongdong branch runs almost all events.

Because I have thin skin, I don't have procedures that are very irritating, like lasers or fraxel, and I mainly focus on botox, lifting, and skincare treatments.

Among them, I will introduce the 'My Way Package' (내맘대로 패키지) of 10 sessions today.

The current promotional price is 161,500 won (excluding VAT; add 10% for a total of 177,650 won. As of October 24, 2024). It says that Nowon, Yeouido, and Hongdae branches are excluded. While purchasing the My Way Package is good, it's difficult for ordinary people to understand what each treatment is just by looking at the name.

I usually have the treatment recommended by the consultant based on my skin condition that day or my skin concerns.

So today, I'm going to explain the treatments included in the package based on my experience.

1. Procedure

Cleansing in the cleansing room → After lying down on the bed, toner is applied → Selected treatment is performed → A disposable sheet mask is applied, followed by a modeling mask → The treatment is finished with regenerating lotion and sunscreen.

(You'll be asked if you want sunscreen, so you can choose according to your schedule.)

2. Treatment Types

Basic care is the standard treatment, and optional care can be added when receiving basic care.

  • Oxygen Peel (산소필): The main purpose is exfoliation, and it is said to help with whitening. It removes dead skin cells using a chemical method. It's a bit more irritating to the skin than other treatments.
  • Cryo Cell (크라이오셀): A soothing treatment, good to receive after treatments that irritate the skin, such as lasers. However, since this treatment makes the skin very cool, it can be cold in winter. Also, it is best to avoid this if you have had a treatment where cooling the skin reduces its effectiveness, such as high-frequency treatment.
  • Ultrasound (초음파): A moisturizing and soothing treatment. Good if your skin feels dry. An ampoule is applied, and a device with an ultrasound function is used to aid absorption. It can be considered similar in principle to galvanic treatment. Of course, the device's functionality is superior to home-use devices.
  • Aqua Peel (아쿠아필): A treatment that cleans whiteheads. A machine that uses a solution to slightly melt and then suck up whiteheads. It's easy to understand if you think of it as a mini vacuum cleaner for whiteheads.
  • Blackhead Treatment (블랙헤드): Exfoliation and blackhead removal. A cotton pad soaked in a solution to melt dead skin cells is placed on the entire face, and steam is used simultaneously to widen pores. Then, dead skin cells are removed with a micro skin scrubber.
  • Vitamin Treatment (비타민): Vitamin ampoules are applied, and an electrode is used to aid absorption. While holding the electrode bar, the technician uses a small tip connected to it to thoroughly absorb the ampoule.

After the treatment, a sheet mask is applied to the face, covered with a thin cloth, and then a modeling mask is applied.

When applying the modeling mask, you can choose whether or not to cover your eyes and mouth. Even if you don't cover your eyes, there's a thin cloth, so your vision isn't very clear, but you can still use your phone. If you're bored from the previous treatments and can't sleep, you might as well leave your eyes uncovered.

Abiju Clinic Myeongdong Branch 'My Choice Package' Review

This is the treatment bed at the Myeongdong Abiju clinic. The lights are quite bright.

The Myeongdong Avizu branch is clean, spacious, and comfortable, having been relocated recently (about 2 years ago, I think). They have a robot that makes free coffee and other drinks.

However, because it's a large-scale branch, reservations are essential, as it's always busy.
