Last Christmas, we enjoyed an onsen (hot spring bath) at Benikea Hotel Haeundae. It's a hotel with family baths that my family from Japan and I visited. I thought it was in Busan's Oncheonjang area, but I was surprised to find it in Haeundae.

Benikea Hotel Haeundae

  • Address: 317 Haeundaehaebyeon-ro, Haeundae-gu, Busan (691m from Exit 7 of Jungdong Station)
  • Parking Lot: 25, Jungdong 1-ro 43-gil, Haeundae-gu, Busan

There is a 15,000 won parking fee for guests.

The room rates are affordable, and sauna use is free for guests, so even with the parking fee, it's cheaper than other places.

Check-in at the front desk~

We only used the family bath, not the accommodation.

Family bath ~ 2 hours!! Let's move quickly hahaha

We were assigned room 406.

They say you can see the Haeundae beach from the upper floors... Maybe I'll try staying overnight next time!

Beds are not available in the family bath, so there aren't even blankets.

You're only allowed to sit at the table haha

The separate washbasin outside was convenient.

There are almost no amenities.

You know, when you stay at a hotel, you have to bring everything yourself... Oh, I forgot the cotton swabs...

As expected from a family bath, the bathtub is large.

It's big enough for two adults.

With the bucket and chair, it really has that bathhouse feel!!

There are enough towels for two people, and shampoo and body wash are provided.

There are also disposable body sponges.

It says that using bath salts with the hot spring water will cause a chemical reaction, so it's prohibited.

The shower pressure wasn't great, but overall, the family bath was satisfactory.

We had to leave at the end of the 2-hour time limit, so we even set an alarm, but it was enough time to scrub and soak in the warm hot spring water.

We were all ready to welcome the new year, clean and refreshed. ㅎㅎ

It was a satisfying family bath experience at Benikea Hotel Haeundae.
