When the weather got temporarily warm, I decided to go to Everland (Yongin, Gyeonggi-do) with my friends! While looking for a shuttle bus, I decided on the Daesung Travel shuttle bus.
- Everland and Caribbean Bay are next to each other, so it might be good to consider both.
1. Reservation
- Dongdaemun History & Culture Park Station -> Everland
- Since I currently live in Korea, I made a reservation through Daesung Tour.
- People traveling from Japan can book for \u00a51,283 through Creatrip.
The price was 14,000 KRW. I made the reservation and paid via bank transfer.
I departed from Dongdaemun History & Culture Park Station at 9:50 AM and departed from Everland at 6:30 PM. There was no choice in the time slots, unfortunately. Since the estimated arrival time was 10:30 AM, I judged that 8 hours would be sufficient.
2. Shuttle Bus Usage (Dongdaemun History & Culture Park to Caribbean Bay)
On the day of use, I went to Dongdaemun History & Culture Park Station by 9:50 AM.
It was exit 11, but there were no signs, so I was confused.
As soon as I came out, I waited in a place that looked like a waiting area with a diamond ceiling(?). I waited there because many people were waiting in front of this shop, even though it was a bit confusing.
Although it was scheduled for 9:50 AM, the bus arrived at 9:55 AM (I understand a 5-minute delay).
Everyone was waiting, whispering whether this was the right place.
The actual boarding point was in front of the arrow shown on the homepage.
A guide came out, asked my name when boarding, and gave me a ticket.
You need to keep this for your return trip, so be sure to keep it safe.
It was a typical Korean tourist bus.
We departed from Dongdaemun History & Culture Park Station immediately.
It took 45 minutes to get to Caribbean Bay!
We arrived at 10:40 AM!
It wasn't congested because we used the bus lane.
The drop-off point was the same as the pick-up point, Parking Lot 2!
After getting off, just board the shuttle bus to go to the place everyone else is going!
3. Return Trip (Everland to Dongdaemun History & Culture Park Station)
Just follow the instructions on the homepage.
Take the shuttle bus from Parking Lot 2 where we got off, and then go back to where we got off and board the bus at numbers 6-8.
- One bus for Hapjeong and Hongdae
- One bus for Seoul Station and Myeongdong
- One bus for Jongno and Dongdaemun
The buses were divided like this.
The driver spoke English well. Since we waited a long time, he apologized in both Korean and English. Hahaha
We took this bus on the way back.
The drop-off point was near Exit 13 of Dongdaemun History & Culture Park Station.
We didn't get off at the exact same spot.
If the weather is nice when you visit Korea, I definitely recommend Everland!
