Resetting your iPhone 3-4 times can increase the base system capacity, effectively expanding your storage space.
The 3utools program allows you to selectively transfer only the desired data during backup and restoration, and offers various other features such as battery health checks.
Wireless charging can cause heat generation, potentially leading to battery and phone degradation. It is recommended to use wired charging whenever possible.
(Although I'm an Apple fan, I don't upgrade to the latest devices every time they come out. Instead, I prefer to use Apple's biggest strength – the long lifespan – and get the most out of my device before upgrading. Haha!)
Resetting the device 3-4 times can reduce the basic system storage, leading to increased storage capacity.
Not many people know about this tip.
Whenever I get a new device, I always reset it 3-4 times.
It's a bit of a hassle, but it's worth it because you get free extra storage.
Want to transfer specific data without migrating everything?
Most people only want to transfer photos, contacts, and messages, and skip the apps. But if your iCloud storage is limited, you might have to give up on the photos.
In that case, turn on your PC, install the 3utools program, back up your old iPhone, and then selectively transfer the desired data to your new phone.
This program is also useful for other things besides backup, such as checking the battery cycle.
Wireless charging can degrade battery and phone lifespan.
To be precise, it's the heat generated that degrades the lifespan.
Wireless charging works on the same principle as induction. While wireless charging isn't the same as induction, and it doesn't inherently generate heat, energy loss occurs during the electromagnetic induction process, and this lost energy converts into heat. This is why wireless charging gets hot.
If you've built a PC before, you'll know that those who understand the process invest a significant amount in coolers.
This is because they understand that heat affects the performance and lifespan of components.
However, we can't attach coolers to smartphones. We need to manage it ourselves to minimize heat generation.
+ The discoloration of clear cases is also caused by heat.
Initial Defect Test
There's an app called Phone Doctor< on the App Store. It can identify about 90% of initial defects.
The downside is that it's developed by a Chinese company.
That's why my routine is to run an initial defect test right after turning on the device for the first time, and if there are no issues, reset it 3-4 times to increase storage capacity.
The remaining 10% involves testing for dead pixels and checking for camera defects.
You can search YouTube, play videos in full screen, and check for dead pixels. You can also take a photo of a white piece of paper with your camera and see if there are any issues.
