I'm writing this post to share my thoughts, a summary of the plot, and an introduction to the authors of 'Even Beginners Can Make Money Right Away: The Techniques of Real Estate Auction'. I came across this book through a recommendation, and it impressed me with its clear and easy-to-understand explanations, particularly tailored for beginners, much like a book on rights analysis. Above all, I was delighted to learn that it's possible to start investing with a small amount of money. The book is filled with practical real-estate auction know-how, including tips on how to sell various types of properties like apartments, officetels, and knowledge industry centers at higher prices. Uniquely, two authors collaborated on this book, which provides a double dose of valuable insights, a feature I appreciated. It feels like gaining knowledge from two books in one, making it a great choice for those who prioritize efficiency. I recommend giving it a read.
Jung Min-woo is a leading instructor in the auction field, who, in his 30s, turned a 15 million won deposit into a multi-billion won asset. He is a real estate investment expert with over 200 successful real estate auctions and public auctions, including apartments, officetels, knowledge industry centers, factories, detached houses, multi-family homes, commercial buildings, and motels. He currently runs an asset management company, specializing in purchasing buildings, commercial properties, motels, and land, and is known as a real estate auction master. He is highly praised for his concise and practical lectures that empower even novices to jump into the auction world. For five years, he has shared his expertise with approximately 1,500 investors on how to generate profits through real estate auctions.
Yoo Geun-yong, nicknamed 'Superman' for his relentless pursuit of goals, transitioned from a 'dirt-spoon' life with no education, money, or social status to a CEO of a book publishing and management consulting company and now a leading expert in public auctions. True to his nickname, he has successfully won 54 auctions and 113 public auctions. With auctioning and winning bids being his hobby and daily routine, he engages in 20-30 real estate transactions annually. Recognized for his execution skills and investment experience, he has delivered lectures at LH Incheon Regional Headquarters and Samsung Life, and served as a lecturer at the Korea Asset Management Corporation, Onbid, Hackers, and TerraEdu, guiding over 5,000 students towards real estate investment.
Many people have preconceived notions about auctions, believing them to be complex, difficult, and arduous, requiring visits to courtrooms, rights analysis, and even evicting residents. This book aims to dispel these misconceptions and show that even with a small initial investment, it's possible to enter the world of real estate auctions. It emphasizes that anyone can participate with a basic understanding of auction terminology and rules. Recognizing this advantage, the two authors, who entered the auction field early, created this introductory guide for beginners, demonstrating that even with 20 million won, one can participate in auctions if they grasp three key documents and four key prices. If you're tired of soaring property prices and the highly competitive housing lottery system, the book suggests broadening your perspective and considering auctions as a solution, a way to buy low and sell for a fair price, resulting in profits.
Those interested in auctions or real estate investment will likely be drawn to the book's title featuring the word "beginner." I was intrigued by the title as well. How could they be so confident in stating that even "complete beginners" could participate? This curiosity led me to pick up the book. The book's unique feature of having two authors provides a sense of reading two books in one. Beyond auctions, it also explores the uses of public auctions, which I found valuable. If you don't feel auctions are for you, it helps you shift your focus towards public auctions. It also emphasizes that you don't need a large initial investment to start, which resonated with me. When I read that 'auctioning is a hobby' for one of the authors, I wondered how frequently they must auction to achieve such success. The process to winning a bid seems less complicated than I initially thought. While this might be due to the examples of easy-to-understand properties, it's a lot more approachable than complex properties. As long as I save up a small amount of seed money, I believe I can begin small-scale investment. I believe that investing, experiencing the profits, will motivate further investments and the excitement of making money. So, I'm determined to start with a small amount and try to generate profits.
