Let me briefly summarize it.

1. Your child must be under 8 years old or in the second grade of elementary school or younger.

2. During the reduced working hours period, your working hours must be at least 15 hours but not more than 35 hours per week!!

3. The period is one year, but it can be extended to two years if you haven't taken parental leave!!

4. It can be divided into three-month periods, but it's better to use it all at once!!

5. You must have worked for six months or more as of the start date of reduced working hours.

Enter the reduced working hours period, employee name, child's name, and reduced working hours (e.g., from 40 hours per week (8 hours per day) to 25 hours per week/15 hours reduction).

This part is easy. Now, there's a box to enter the usual wage.

Usually, you enter your pre-tax salary. It's stated in your employment contract and you can also check your payslip.

In my case, my base pay + additional overtime pay was stated as my salary in my employment contract.

For example, I entered 2.8 million won as my usual wage, and the standard working hours are usually 209 hours.

Next, for the salary payment details, since I haven't received any salary yet even though I started reduced working hours, I leave it blank and go to the attachments.

4. List of files to be attached (the more, the better it seems^^)
It's simple. Attach everything in one go: your previous payslips, your employment contract, and the application form I uploaded as an attachment.

You only need to send these three things. Once you send it, it will say "processing" until the employee applies for the allowance; this is normal.
