The Prima Hotel Jongno Breakfast Review (Near Gyeongbokgung Palace)

This is a review of the breakfast at The Prima Hotel Jongno, near Insadong and Gyeongbokgung Palace in Seoul. I was satisfied with the price and room condition during my trip to Seoul.

Currently, there's a 60% discount, so a double room (37,000 KRW) can be booked for 14,000 KRW. A triple room (53,000 KRW) is around 21,000 KRW.

Breakfast is served in the banquet hall restaurant on the B1 floor. Breakfast is 18,000 KRW for hotel guests and 25,000 KRW for non-guests. Breakfast hours are 07:00-10:00. I was satisfied with the clean hotel (thanks to the recent renovation) and the clean bedding, and the breakfast wasn't bad either.

Now, let's take a look at the menu! :)🔽🔽

There's cream of mushroom soup, vegetable porridge, and dried pollack soup; choose what you like. The cream of mushroom soup was thick and rich, but it wasn't to my taste (I'm used to the taste of corporate soups), but my father said it was delicious. The dried pollack soup was refreshing and tasty. It seems that the soup options change from time to time.

We arrived a little late, and some food seemed to be running low, but they replenished it promptly, which was great.

The scrambled eggs were soft and fluffy, and very good.

All the menu items were kept warm.

There were also many Korean side dishes that were unfamiliar to me in Japan. Kim (seaweed), kimchi, braised fish cakes, dried anchovies, and seasoned octopus – all simple but popular side dishes.

Since it's a hotel with many foreign guests, there were many foreigners at breakfast, and many of them were eating kimchi.

Even cereal!

There was a good mix of Korean and Western food, so you can eat whatever you like.

My plate

I had white rice, dried pollack soup, and kimchi. It was a satisfying and not greasy meal. ㅎㅎㅎ

If you come to Korea, be sure to try Korean food.
