Gwanghwamun Plaza Christmas Market & Squid Game 2 Young-hee in Seoul 2024

I went to Gwanghwamun for a year-end gathering!

Since Squid Game 2 is being released in Gwanghwamun, and there's also a Christmas market, I went to see them both.

Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul! With the Christmas market and the upcoming release of Squid Game 2, and Young-hee being specially exhibited, it seems like there will be a lot of people coming to see it on weekends! There are many Koreans, and many Japanese people too!

The address of Gwanghwamun Square is "175 Sejong-daero, Jongno-gu, Seoul, Sejong Story". If you exit through exit 9 of Gwanghwamun Station, you can come out from underground to the outdoors right there!

When you come out of the exit, you'll see the Christmas market straight ahead!

And behind it, Young-hee from Squid Game is standing guard!!

The Gwanghwamun Market was bigger than I expected!

I only saw Santa Village, but next to it, there are many photo zones in Santa Village Playground, including an Eastar Jet photo zone. Next to the entrance, there's also a Disney's Mufasa Lion King pop-up and a stamp tour! For the first 100 people each day who complete the stamp tour, they get a gift, so if you visit, be sure to try it!!

There were many flea markets around the village information center that I could look around! I went at night, so some places were being tidied up, so I didn't take pictures of them separately.

There are fun and cute market items, so please come and see them for yourself~! There's a photo zone with a tree in the center, and people are lining up to take pictures, so if you wait in line, your photos will probably turn out great~

If you go past the market and forward, you'll see a large structure with "Winter Festa" written on it! On the opposite side, there was a video with a Christmas market feel playing on a large screen~!

The tree looks even more beautiful from the center!

Korean families were all taking pretty pictures, and it was heartwarming to watch.

And in Cheonggyecheon, they're holding a lantern festival, and in front of Gwanghwamun, there's a great Seoul Light exhibition.

And in front of the Gwanghwamun Market information booth, Haechi, the Seoul mascot, was taking pictures with people!

Haechi is so cute! But I was also worried because it was so cold!

I went sightseeing alone, so I only took a picture of Haechi and then moved on to see Young-hee from Squid Game!

With Squid Game 2's release coming up soon on December 26th, it's on display in front of Gwanghwamun Square!

There wasn't much to see other than Young-hee herself, to be honest!
