For those hesitant to visit ENA Sweet Hotel Namdaemun, we've compiled real user reviews, eliminating the need for extensive online searches. These experiences highlight the hotel's strengths and weaknesses, offering valuable insights.
City Hall Station, Namdaemun Market, Deoksugung Palace, Seoul Station, Myeongdong Shopping Street, Cheonggyecheon Plaza, and Gwanghwamun Plaza are nearby.
I booked a stay because I had an important exam at the nearby Chamber of Commerce! It's about a 3-minute walk from the Chamber of Commerce, the room condition was good, and above all, there was a desk, which was great. I stayed here for the same reason a year ago and had a satisfying experience, so I chose this place again without hesitation for this exam.
There are two lamps on either side of the bed, and the overall atmosphere of the room is cozy and comfortable. I requested a quiet room, and even on a Saturday, the external noise was acceptable, and there was no noise from other rooms at all. The bedding was very comfortable, a hairdryer and bathrobes were provided, and everything was clean and neat.
If I had to point out something to improve, the sound of the heater in the ceiling was very loud. I'm not particularly sensitive to noise, but the heater's noise was really, really loud all nightㅜㅜ Also, the toilet water pressure was too weak, and I had to hold down the lever for a long time to flush. Despite these shortcomings, it's a hotel I'm really satisfied with, and I would consider staying here again if I visit Seoul! Thank you:)
The location and facilities of the accommodation were excellent. It's right in front of City Hall Station (Line 2), and the bus stop is also close by. Gwanghwamun and Gyeongbokgung Palace are nearby. However, because it's in front of a government office, everything is dark in the afternoon, and restaurants and cafes all close. On weekends, they don't even open at all. It seems to be mainly aimed at office workers.
There are Starbucks and Paul Bassett nearby, but even Paris Baguette closes early in the evening ㅠㅠ It was shocking. At least we could order delivery food. I couldn't even eat a simple bowl of Seolleongtang (beef bone soup). This was the most inconvenient thing for me during my two-night stay. Seoul Station is close, so it's not bad if you just sleep there and go sightseeing.
The room was much larger than I expected, which was nice. There were many foreigners, and it was a bit crowded because there were so many people. The beer in the room was a nice touch. Parking is available 24/7 in the adjacent building, which is convenient. The photos are of Lena Restaurant! The famous mentaiko scallops pasta and mushroom cream risotto are delicious. My favorite is the burrata cheese salad!!!
The room was very spacious, and having a dining table was great. It was especially nice that there were TVs in both the living room and the bedroom. However, the poor quality of some channels was a bit disappointing. The heating was on, but it felt a little cold. It felt like cold air was constantly blowing. Still, the room's condition was good enough that it didn't ruin my mood. I would consider visiting again if I have the chance.
I was worried because I read reviews saying that the door wasn't auto-locking and didn't close properly, but it was auto-locking, and there was an additional locking mechanism. The room and bed were spacious for one person, but it might be a little cramped for two people with luggage. There was minimal noise from adjacent rooms, which was good, but the hallway noise was very audible, and sounds like chair scraping or thumping from other floors were easily heard.
The only frustrating thing was that the bathroom door was sliding, and if you pull it all the way to close it so you can't see inside, the door comes off the bottom track?, making the opposite side completely visible... I don't know if this was just the room I stayed in, but if two people are staying in this room, you should just assume that you'll be able to see into the bathroom somewhat... The water pressure was strong, the towels showed slight wear but only smelled slightly of disinfectant, and there was no freezer in the refrigerator, but I was satisfied ^^
I went on a Seoul trip with my family, and we booked this hotel because of the good reviews. It was very convenient because it was close to City Hall Station, and the facilities were even better than I expected. Gwanghwamun is a 15-minute walk away, so accessibility is good. There are many restaurants nearby, and many foreigners check in to this hotel. It's clean and the staff are friendly.
The interior was clean and nice. It's not easy to find a 3-person accommodation for children, so we were satisfied with the value. However, it was cold no matter how much we turned up the heater. It felt like cold air was constantly coming out. Still, the condition of the room was good enough that it didn't bother me too much. I would consider visiting again if I have the opportunity.
The hotel is next to exit 2 of City Hall Station (Line 2), and Seoul Station is also easily accessible on foot. The many famous restaurants nearby are a plus... however, because it's an office town, many places are closed on weekends or close early, so be aware of this. The room was spacious, the bed was wide, and it was a good place to relax.
Although most places aren't open on weekends or in the evenings, here are some restaurants nearby for reference. The menus are mainly for office workers nearby. Jeongwon Sundubu (tofu stew) right in front/ Obongjeong Kimchi Jjigae (kimchi stew), Dolsot Bibimbap (mixed rice with stone pot), and Kongnamul Gukbap (bean sprout soup) right next door / Jojo Kalguksu (knife-cut noodles) across from CU / Jinjuhoeguan is famous for its cold soybean noodle soup but only opens in the morning / Jam Baeok, Jeju Baek / If you go to the main street towards Line 2, there are Starbucks and Paul Bassett, but they all close early in the evening / Alice Pie is closed on Sundays / Kangseo Myeonok (cold noodles).
We hope that the ENA Sweet Hotel Namdaemun reviews from actual visitors have been helpful. Thank you.
