While planning a Seoul trip and considering accommodations, I chose Hotel Midcity Myeongdong, known for its great value in Seoul.Hotel Midcity MyeongdongThat's where we decided to stay.
Traveling as a family of four with my sister and niece, we carefully considered both location and price, and it turned out to be a satisfying choice.

Hotel Midcity Myeongdong is located in Jung-gu, Seoul, offering excellent access to major tourist attractions. It was especially convenient because we could walk to the Cheonggyecheon Lantern Festival, which was taking place during our visit.
Personally, I was happy to be near my old workplace, but I never knew there was such a great value hotel in Seoul.
The Hotel Midcity Myeongdong lobby was spacious and clean, and they even had a Christmas photo zone, perfect for taking pictures with the kids. They thoughtfully prepared cute Santa costumes in various sizes.
Since it was a Seoul trip with my sister and nieces, we booked a triple room for the four of us and two standard double rooms for my other niece and sister.
The total cost was around 400,000 won, which wasn't too expensive.
The triple room had three single beds and a bathtub, which was convenient for use with the children.
It seems that bathtubs in the triple rooms are randomly assigned. We were lucky to get one.
Amenities included body wash, shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion, but there were no toothbrushes, so you'll need to bring your own.
Personally, I felt the quality of the towels was a little disappointing.
They had a slightly rough texture, and I saw a few with loose threads.
The room had a small desk, a bench-style sofa next to it, and a mini-table, perfect for a quick cup of ramen.
I had read reviews mentioning bathrobes, but they weren't available during our stay.
However, the minibar coffee, tea bags, and bottled water were free, and there was an ice and water dispenser at the end of the hallway, so we didn't have to worry about drinking water.
Once we finished our bottled water, we headed to the water dispenser at the end of the hallway~
This is the standard double room where my sister and younger niece stayed. The rooms were close together, which was very convenient.
The kids went back and forth between mom and aunt's rooms often ㅎㅎ
It was definitely smaller than the triple room, but it seemed sufficient for two people to sleep in for one night.
There was no bathtub.
Our trip was only one night and two days, so I didn't bring a charger, only a power bank. Luckily, there was a charging jack connected to the phone in the room.
It wasn't super-fast charging, but it was fast enough to be useful.
★ There's parking for about 3 cars, so it's very limited, but luckily, we found a spot even though we were staying on a weekend.
We even found a spot after going to Kwangjang Market after check-in ^^ It seems that many foreign tourists use this hotel. If it's full, you'll have to use a nearby public parking lot.
There was a gym and rooftop, but we didn't use them.
My sister and younger niece rested at the hotel, while my older niece and I went to see the Seoul Lantern Festival.
It was nice that the hotel was safe and close to the festival when we returned to the hotel in the evening.
There are pubs and convenience stores nearby, so you can easily get late-night snacks.
The rooftop of Hotel Midcity Myeongdong is lit up.
It's a shame that we didn't go up there because it was cold.
The next day, it snowed heavily in Seoul, so we canceled all our plans and hurried home. The snow scene from the hotel was beautiful, but driving was a little scary ㅠㅠ Still, the memory of watching the snow fall in Seoul from our hotel room with my kids will last a long time.
If you're looking for affordable and great value family accommodations in Seoul, I recommend Hotel Midcity Myeongdong!
