After having lunch in Seoul with a Korean friend, we were wondering where to go next and decided on the Seoul Sky at Lotte World Tower. We had already seen most of the Seoul city center the day before. I suggested Seoul Sky, as we hadn't been there yet, and my friend was happy. ㅎㅎ
Actually, it was my first time visiting Seoul Sky too. I had always meant to go to Lotte World Tower, but kept putting it off until now. It suddenly came to mind, so I suggested it. ㅎㅎ
First, I searched for Lotte World Tower on Naver and found discounted tickets. I booked them online, and luckily found a couple's package for 44,000 won. Entry was possible via QR code.
Original Price
- Adult 31,000 won
- Child 27,000 won (36 months ~ 12 years old)
I just checked and the couple's price has disappeared; only a 20% discount of 49,500 won is shown. It seems purchasing from other sites is also an option...
I received a 10% discount with SK Telecom. It's better to search and find the best deal. It's definitely cheaper than buying tickets on site. The After 8 ticket, for entry after 8pm, costs 14,000 won. This ticket is highly recommended if you want to see the night view!!
For those traveling from Japan, tickets can be booked for 2,640 yen.
Seoul Sky Observatory
- Address: 117th-123rd floor, 300 Olympic-ro, Songpa-gu, Seoul
Departing from Euljiro, I took subway line 2 to Jamsil Station. It's located near the Avenue Hall at exit 2.
The entrance was slightly to the right.
123rd floor, 555M.
Seoul Sky Observatory is said to be the highest in Korea and 4th highest in the world.
It was 2 PM on a weekday, and we entered immediately without waiting. Perhaps because the long weekend in October had just ended, the subway was also less crowded on Thursday, October 10th...
While watching media videos and following the directions, the walk was quite long~
We ascended to the 117th floor in just one minute.
Upon arrival, instead of immediately entering the observatory, we began with a media art display showcasing the history of Seoul, starting from the origins of the Han River. I was surprised by how impressive it was. ㅎㅎ
Starting with ink art, after enjoying the dynamic night view of Seoul, the screen rises, and a view of Seoul as seen from the Seoul Tower Observatory unfolds, which was both moving and surprising. ㅎㅎ
Oh... After the media art ends, the screen rises to reveal a panoramic view of Seoul with the Han River.
I wanted to take a picture on the glass floor, but there were a lot of people. However, there are about three other similar spots nearby, so there's no need to rush to get a photo at the first one you see. ㅎㅎ
Haruna, the scaredy-cat, only took pictures of her friend and the floor. ㅋㅋ
Luckily, the sky was blue with fluffy clouds, so we could enjoy the view and take some nice pictures.
As we went up on the escalator, there was a piano performance on the 120th floor!!
We had to stop by the gift shop!
My friend got a commemorative badge because she doesn't like "cute trash"!
