I visited Isaac Toast, the toast place that comes to mind when you think of toast. It's also one of the first foods I thought was delicious in Korea.
It's close to Sinchon Station and next to Hyundai Department Store in Sinchon.
It's a very popular place, so it's a good idea to make a reservation in advance when you travel to Korea. There are many Isaac Toast locations in Seoul, but the Sinchon branch is particularly popular and many Japanese people visit it.
The Sinchon Isaac Toast store is relatively small, so it's a good place to get toast to go.
Inside, there is one 4-person table and three 2-person tables, so seating is a bit limited. Even so, there was one table left during lunchtime.
Here's the menu for Isaac Toast in Sinchon.
You can easily order using the kiosk. I had seen the set menus at other branches, but the Sinchon Isaac Toast didn't have any set menus.
Double Cheese Bulgogi
Double Cheese Bulgogi (4,900 KRW)
Since I ate it at the store, it was served warm enough to cool down a bit. There was quite a lot of bulgogi.
It might be a little rich because it's double cheese, but if you like cheese, you'll probably like it.
Scrambled Bacon
Scrambled Bacon (4,500 KRW)
After ordering, I was a little worried that the scrambled eggs might fall apart, but contrary to my worries, the scrambled eggs were nicely held together, making it easy to eat.
However, except for the bacon, it didn't feel much different from the ham and cheese toast. The ham and cheese toast costs 3,100 KRW, so the price difference is quite significant.
The store is small and the tables are close together, so I recommend taking your toast to go. Even if you're traveling in Seoul, you don't necessarily need to eat inside; you can enjoy it while walking.
