Songgyeoke Gyodedaem | Honest Review and CatchTable Waiting Tips

I finally went to Songgyeok.

It was so popular that I couldn't go, but I finally got to try it.

I was worried about the wait at Songgyeok, but luckily there wasn't any.

I entered around 5:30 PM on a weekday.

Please note that the Catch Table waiting list opening time and the store's waiting list opening time are different!

Weekdays: From 18:00 (On-site registration 15:30)

Weekends: From 15:00 (On-site registration 14:30)

Even if there is no wait with remote queuing, there may still be a wait because on-site registration opens earlier!

2. Interior

Since it was still early in the evening, there weren't many customers in the store.

Songgyeok operates with an open kitchen.

3. Menu

You need to choose your menu before sitting down,

The staff members kindly explain the menu and give recommendations.

The four of us ordered a large set of grilled meats, Songgyeok bibimyeon (spicy noodles), and an Earl Grey highball.

Group reservations are available for 8 or more people!

First, they set up the sauces and side dishes.

They also set up the basic sauces.

Sriracha, salt, and sansho soy sauce. Enjoy them as you like!

Here comes the large set of grilled meats! (44,000 won)

The large set of grilled meats includes:

Saisogeum (thigh), heart, gizzard, cartilage, tenderloin, and neck - 6 different cuts.

We wait for it to cook nicely.

Usually, the staff grills it for you, so you can enjoy it comfortably.

While waiting, the Earl Grey highball arrived.

This restaurant is said to be the origin of the Earl Grey highball trend, so I was really looking forward to it >///<

And the Songgyeok bibimyeon (9,000 won) also arrived,

Mix the noodles and toppings and wrap them with the chicken for a delicious treat!

I especially enjoyed it with the garlic sauce,

Since eating only chicken can be a bit much, the garlic sauce helps cut through the richness.

The restroom is shared, but it was clean,

It was convenient that they had a separate handwashing area outside.

4. Overall Impression

I finally went to Songgyeok,

It seems like a good place for a light first or second round of drinks. (The portions aren't that large)

I'm satisfied with just having gone once!

Honestly, I don't think I'll go back because of the taste. :)
